Here’s a breakdown of the different types of sourcing we use and the products that embody these values.
Organic, Bare Minimum
When we say “bare minimum,” we mean it. For us at Crucial FOUR organic is more than just a label — it’s a commitment to purity and sustainability. Organic sourcing involves using farming practices that avoid synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and GMOs to make sure the soil, plants, and ultimately, the ingredients we consume are as clean and nutrient-dense as possible.
Take mProtein, for example. Our A2 goat whey is sourced from Amish and regenerative farms, where goats graze on organic pastures, free from harmful chemicals like glyphosate. This approach makes for not only a high-quality product but also a way to support soil health and biodiversity. By choosing organic, we’re providing a product that’s easier to digest and rich in essential nutrients, while also doing our part to promote sustainable agriculture. Wild-Crafted/Wild-Simulated Farming
When we talk about wild-crafted sourcing, we’re talking about plants harvested directly from their natural habitat, without using conventional farming practices. This means you get the most nutrient-dense version of the plant while other farming techniques can make the plant lose their nutritional edge because of mass production techniques.
And then there’s wild-simulated farming, which mimics those natural conditions but in a controlled setting. It’s called “wild-crafted” because we’re careful to harvest sustainably, letting the plants thrive long-term, unlike some wild-harvesting methods that can overdo it and hurt the ecosystem. A great example of this? Our mDefense, made from wild-harvested Camu Camu which is packed with 30-50x more vitamin C than oranges.
Solvent-Free Extraction
When it comes to our extracts, we keep things clean: no hexane, methane, or any other toxic solvents in sight. Why does this matter? Because conventional extractions often use harsh chemicals that leave behind unwanted residues, which is not something you want in your body. Instead, we use gentle methods like steam extraction, freeze-drying, and spray-drying to keep all the good stuff intact, without any sketchy byproducts.

Origin Sourcing
