FOUR Ways To Stop The Flu In Its Tracks During The Fall

1. We need more Vitamin D.

Dr. John Cannell, founder of the Vitamin D Council first introduced the hypothesis that influenza is merely a symptom of vitamin D deficiency in the paper “Epidemic Influenza and Vitamin D,”  Well it turns out he was right.  Taking up to 15,000 IU of Vitamin D daily can greatly improve your chances of not catching a cold and help to prevent the flu from taking over.

Vitamin D is not a vitamin persay but a steroid hormone precursor that helps express over 3000 healing Genes in our DNA.  The best choice to get this hormone precursor is to get it from the sun, however foods such as liver, egg yolks, and fish are also excellent sources.  Lastly don’t forget to implement a Vitamin D3 supplement into your daily regimen such as Crucial FOUR’s mVita-D3.   Our Vitamin D supplement (mVita-D3) contains both Vitamin D3 and K2, which allows for taking megadoses.  It is easy to travel with and is a simple way to keep your Vitamin D levels strong every day for optimal health.

2. Eat fermented foods.

Researchers have already shown that probiotics can benefit those who are ill, and these beneficial bacteria are thought to boost the immune system’s response to invaders.  When you are  feeling the flu coming on don’t forget to feed your body with the good bacteria it needs to fight illness.  We tend to eat lots of processed, sugary, and cooked foods, which can shut down our immune system and throw off our digestion.

Adding 2 TBSP of fermented foods to every meal will help aid digestion and help support  a healthy immune response.    There is no need to take probiotics (pill form) when we eat these fermented foods that are thriving with beneficial microbes.  We believe in the power of food over the power of supplements, it’s CRUCIAL for optimal physical and mental wellbeing.

3.Camu Camu is here to save the day!

Camu camu is a superfruit native to the Amazon Rainforest containing 30-50 times the amount of Vitamin C than most any botanical source in the world.  Not only does camu camu also contain the highest concentrations of Vitamin C in the world, but it is highly known for its anti-viral and anti-inflammatory benefits.  Camu camu is also known for helping to boost the immune system.

Take 4 capsules of mDefense daily or add 1 tsp to mBreakfast and protect yourself from the cold or flu. Taking camu camu for general maintenance is a great way to help support an active metabolic state especially when you have a compromised immune system.

4. LYMP pump

All viruses, bacteria, toxins, cancer cells, and chemicals are passed through the lymph, where the body is alerted if a foreign particle needs to be removed.  Surprisingly, there are three times more lymph than blood in the body.  The lymphatics are the leftover blood which covers every organ routinely on a daily basis. If it isn’t moving properly (due to poor diet and lack exercise), then toxins and cancer cells cannot be emptied into lymphatic ducts which eventually lead to the detoxification methods in the liver/kidneys and in some cases metastasis.

In order to move this lymp fluid we need to move our body and sweat all those toxins out.  Take time to break a sweat every day and look into investing in a dry or infrared sauna as an optimal solution.
